2016 Blueridge Postal Match Coaches – I invite you to compete in this year’s Blueridge Postal Match hosted by R-S Central High School Marine Corps JROTC in Rutherfordton, NC. The attached match bulletin provides detailed information. All changes from last year’s bulletin are italicized. Key things to remember: - Teams will shoot on Orion targets (which we will provide) - Teams must pre-pay in order to receive targets - You DO NOT need to identify your teams when you order targets If you have not fired this match before, I would like to point out the following differences between the Blueridge Match and an “average” postal match. (Details are outlined in the bulletin.) - More individual medals (for example, to at least to the top 25 shooters in the sporter veteran category). Last year, we awarded more than 110 medals for overall score plus 45 position medals! - More team awards (up to eight in each category) - Best-in-service team plaques - Match certificates and rifle stickers for all participants - Individual medals for the high shooter on each team - Quick feedback on official scores (within ten days of target receipt) I look forward to your participation. Please contact me if you have any questions. Remember – in a tight economy – postal matches provide the best chance for good competition at a low dollar cost.
