What is Google BOLD Immersion? ​At Google BOLD Immersion, you will have the opportunity to get a rare glimpse into the business side of the technology industry, a chance to grow your peer network, and exposure and insight into Google’s non-technical internship and career opportunities. Additionally you will have the opportunity to interview for our full time roles and 2019 Business Internships.

Who’s eligible to apply? ○ Applicants must be a current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a University in Europe, the Middle East or Africa. ○ Applicants must have an expected graduation date between June - December 2018, in 2019 or 2020. ○ Applicants must be 18 year of age or older as of 24th July 2018. ○ Persons who are (1) residents of embargoed countries, (2) ordinarily resident in embargoed countries, or (3) otherwise prohibited by applicable export controls and sanctions programs are not eligible to apply for this program. ○ Google employees are not eligible to apply.

What’s the application deadline? ○ The application will close the 19th of March 2018 at 08:00 GMT. We will review all applications in the order we receive them and notify all applicants by June 2018. Entry deadlines may be extended at the discretion of the organizers.

What’s the selection process? ○ Each application will be evaluated and scored based on the following criteria: (i) demonstration of passion for the online industry; (ii) academic merit; (iii) demonstration of leadership skills (the “Criteria”). ○ Each eligible application that meets the Criteria will be reviewed by Google in accordance with the Criteria by an internal panel of Google team members and the best 65 applications (as assessed by the panel of judges in their sole discretion as against the Criteria) will be successful. ○ Notification of successful applicants will take place between May and June 2018 to the email address provided at the time of application. Notification is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms and conditions set forth herein. ○ Successful applicants will be required to accept the invitation to participate in the BOLD Immersion EMEA program within 7 days of notification by Google. If successful applicants fail to accept within 7 days of notification by Google, their participation in the program will be forfeited and Google may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative successful applicant.

Is the program all-expense paid?



Yes, Google will cover cost of travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa, accommodation in Dublin, Ireland for the duration of the program and meals during the BOLD Immersion program. Google will also be responsible for the costs of (i) transportation to and from the program, including airport transfer and visa fees where applicable.

By applying or participating, will I be guaranteed a contract of employment? ○ Under no circumstances shall the submission of a BOLD Immersion application or the participation in the program be construed as an offer or contract of employment with Google.

What to expect during the program? ○ The 65 best applications, as assessed in accordance with the Criteria above shall be selected to attend the BOLD Immersion program. The program will be running from the 25th to 27th of July 2018 in Google’s EMEA HQs in Dublin, Ireland. The program consists of presentations, workshops, group projects and networking/social events in the office and in public locations outside the Google office.

If selected, what should I expect with travel and accommodation? ○ Successful applicants might be required (at Google’s sole discretion) to travel to and from Dublin, Ireland on the 24th of July 2018 and 28th of July 2018, in order to attend the 3-day program. ○ Travel within Europe, Middle East and Africa and accommodation costs in Dublin, Ireland will be covered by Google. Google will be responsible for the costs of (i) transportation to and from the program, including airport transfer and flight tickets where applicable; and (ii) reasonable accommodation in Dublin for the duration of the program as organised by Google and/or its selected partner. ○ In addition, Google will reimburse qualifying successful applicants reasonable meals and social event expenses related to the BOLD Immersion program, subject to a cap as notified to applicants by Google. For the avoidance of doubt successful applicants will be responsible for any hotel incidentals, souvenirs and for any costs associated with prolonging their time in Ireland at their own choice. ○ Successful applicants are responsible for holding the necessary documents for travel, and for arriving on time for their travel reservations. Successful applicants will be responsible for any costs associated with missing their modes of transportation or not adhering to the above stipulations. Google will not cover any associated costs related to requesting a change in travel within two weeks of the program. ○ Successful applicants are personally responsible for organizing travel insurance for the duration of the program prior to travel (such insurance should include, but not be limited to, coverage for: medical expenses, repatriation, belongings etc). Google cannot guarantee that successful applicants will be covered under any government health care schemes that may be relevant. ○ Successful applicants are responsible for liaising with their local embassy/consulate to determine if they require a VISA to travel to Dublin, Ireland. If a VISA is required, it is the applicant's sole responsibility to organise such VISA. Google will only provide a VISA support letter (soft and/or hardcopy) and will reimburse any VISA related fees properly

evidenced and submitted to Google in accordance with the process communicated by Google. Google follows a “No receipt, no payment” policy for reimbursements. No payment will be made for any eligible reimbursements under this section without appropriate receipts. Please keep track of all receipts for program related expenses. Successful applicants are responsible for hotel incidentals, souvenirs and for any costs associated with prolonging their time in Dublin at their own choice.

Privacy ○ Applicants agree that any Personal Information collected in connection with the online application form may be used by Google for purposes of processing applications for the BOLD Immersion EMEA program and analysis of program productivity. Additionally, applicants agree that this Personal Information may be shared with Google’s partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, licensees and assigns for the purposes of organising and administering the program. The term “Personal Information” as used herein means first name, surname, address, telephone number, email address and any other information applicants provide to Google in connection with the application. All Personal Information that is collected from the applicant is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy, located at: ​http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/​. Applicants acknowledge that Google may transfer any of the applicant's Personal Information outside of the European Economic Area. ○ Applicants understand that they may be contacted by Google in relation to internships, full-time job opportunities and other university programs communication should they opt-in to receive them.
