Bracknell Trampoline Centre Safety Rules - Version 1.4 2nd December 2014 All Participants, Coaches, Parents & Visitors MUST abide by these rules Parking You must access Bracknell Trampoline Centre via the ‘Conningsby’ entrance to the Brakenhale school car park. Follow the signs for sports facilities to the left, then straightforward following the sign for trampoline centre. Parking for the trampoline centre is allocated beyond the centre as you drive past it on the right. Please DRIVE SLOWLY taking care for pedestrians. Please do NOT park in front of the green gates. Viewing window and access to the centre for non participants The installation of a viewing window will now restrict anyone except participants entering the trampoline hall. Parents are asked to view from the reception area. This will apply to all classes after 4pm Monday to Friday and Saturday classes before 2pm. The following classes are exempt from this rule and one parent is required or allowed to accompany the child in the trampoline hall: all special needs classes require a parent/carer, Saturday development classes at 3pm and 4pm require an accompanying adult to be by the side of trampoline due to birthday parties taking place. Saturday 2pm class parents will be asked to remain in reception area until 2.20pm then to join their child at the side of the trampoline. We politely request that accompanying parents do NOT bring other siblings with them into the hall as we are not covered by insurance for them. Monday to Friday daytime pre school classes at the coach’s discretion. Anyone not participating and entering the trampoline hall should abide by the hall rules below Hall Rules No food or chewing gum is allowed in the hall (unless for medical purposes).Empty bottles and any other rubbish must be put in the bins provided. No drinks except water, (no tea, coffee, flasks, fizzy drinks) are allowed in the hall. Please only drink water from a ‘sipper’ bottle, which must not be placed on the frame pads. No mobile phones, lap tops or other electronic gadgets, etc should be used by spectators or participants in the hall. Shoes must be removed before entering the trampoline hall. Performers Please wait in reception on arrival for your class. The coach will collect you at the start of the session. Please do not wander into the hall, unless you are arriving after the start of the session. Please arrive for your class ready to as there are no changing facilities and the toilet in reception cannot be used as a changing room. Please wear sports clothing and socks or trampoline shoes when training, hair to be tied back, finger and toe nails to be kept short, no jewellery or articles that could harm a spotter or performer or catch on the equipment. Please tape any piercings if they cannot be removed. Children should ask before leaving the hall and inform the coach if you are leaving the lesson early. Mobile phones, books and games may only be used in reception and not during training sessions. Mobile phones must be switched off for the duration of the session. Parents Please ensure that children arrive on time and are collected promptly from the hall by parents/guardians. Pease be advised that we will not be responsible for your child after the class has finished. Please ensure you let us/coaches know of any contact number changes. Trampoline Safety When using the raised trampolines please do not train without at least one spotter, i.e. a person by the side of the trampoline who is able to prevent you from falling off. Please be attentive to the coach and only attempt new moves only after progressive training and permission. Please do not step on the bed when someone else is jumping. Only one person per trampoline at a time. Please do not transfer moves from the safety mat to trampoline unless the coach has given permission. Please do not get involved in ‘tests of daring’. Please do not go under or swing under the trampoline or end-decks of the raised trampolines. Use of the trampoline must only take place when a coach/teacher is present and has given permission. Do not walk across the trampolines or onto the blue matting around the edges of the beds. Do not push anyone into the pit. General Bracknell Trampoline Centre takes no responsibility for any accident or injury incurred through the making or drinking of beverages at the centre. Please always inform the coach of any medical condition or medication which could affect performance or any accident in the last 6 months which resulted in unconsciousness from a blow to the head. Smoking and Alcohol are not permitted anywhere on the club or school premises.
