Gibsons Landing is a coastal community of 4,200 located in southwestern British Columbia, Canada on the Strait of Georgia. It is the main marine gateway to the Sunshine Coast. Although Gibsons is on the British Columbia mainland, it is not accessible by road. Vehicle access is by BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver, a 40 minute crossing. The town is also accessible by water, by float plane to the harbour, or by small aircraft to Sechelt Airport, approx. 20 km northwest of Gibson (Wikipedia) Gibsons offers unique seascapes and shorelines to paint and draw, including beaches, rocks, driftwood, diverse coastal vegetation and marine wildlife.

About Art workshop will include drawing and sketching from live nature, seascape drawing and/or painting, plein air painting, learning about texture and mixed media in the contemporary art and one project will be up to the choice of the student (on the last day of the workshop : it can be drawing, pastels, acrylic/oil painting, collage, mixed media etc.) Group and individual demonstration, constructive critiques and individual attention and instructions will be an essential part of this workshop.

The workshop will be held at the Chaster House, 154 Ocean Beach Esplanade, Gibsons, BC. The house is situated on the waterfront in Bonniebrook with a beautiful view of Georgia Strait. A large grassy area surrounds the hall. Beach is accessible from the hall.
Maximum 12 participants will be accepted. The workshop is designed for students of all levels: from absolute beginners to advanced ones. Student has to min 15 year old.
