Bryn Fleming is the author of the Range Riders series which is especially appealing to tweens. She writes about a young girl Cassie who rescues a horse in her first novel, To the Rescue and about Jasper who gets a rescue dog from a shelter who becomes his source of unconditional love and freedom from being bullied at school. Fleming is a graduate of the Portland State University where she majored in English. She taught creative writing for a while at Portland Community College. But she spends her time in Eastern, Oregon where she works in the restoration of endangered steelhead to the rivers.
