Where has god sent you? Eduardo Buldain, Field Coordinator, Hispanics for Christ, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was at a Bible Institute when he was eighteen that Eduardo heard God’s call for his life, to serve Him by planting churches. For more than thirty years, Eduardo has been doing this all across Argentina. He has taught church planting at Word of Life Bible Institute in Buenos Aires and mentored many young pastors. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, pastors are being prepared at the Pastor Training Center, which was founded by Eduardo. They have been training pastors since 2009, equipping them for ministry and sending them out to serve in churches across Latin America. Pray for Eduardo and his ministry through Hispanics for Christ.
Shan Reed - Missionary in Japan God continues to build and strengthen His church here in southern Osaka. It is a joy to see the Holy Spirit at work in the hearts of His people. We also enjoy the opportunities to grow through special events held at Komyo Church. Pastor Daisuke Okada has come twice to share an indepth seminar on understanding the Bible which has encouraged and challenged us to handle the Word of God faithfully. We look forward to another seminar in the spring.

What is prayer? An activity or a life? "A praying life is not built on information communicated from one person to another, but on a life-absorbing relationship with God" writes Jennifer Kennedy Dean in her Bible Study "Live a Praying Life". Please join us as we do this study starting February 27. We will meet on Mondays at 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Avon. For more information please contact Marsha at 286-3205.

90/100 EXTREME PERSECUTION
90/100 EXTREME PERSECUTION
Leader: Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi Population: 35.8 million (thousands of Christians) Main Religion: Islam Government: Parliamentary democracy Source of Persecution: Islamic extremism There has been a long tradition of Christians living in Iraqi cities like Baghdad and Mosul. Christians have lived in Iraq for two millennia but are currently on the verge of extinction. Iraq has suffered from years of structural uncertainty, conflict and instability under a government incapable of enforcing the rule of law and providing a minimum of security. Iraq is divided into two parts, the semi-autonomous Kurdish region in the north and the large remaining Arab part. Kurds and Arabs have their own languages and culture. Most of Iraq’s oil resources are found near Kirkuk and Mosul, the border areas between the Kurdish region and Arab Iraq, and these are amongst the most violent places of Iraq. Christians are caught here in the crossfire of two different battles: one for a Kurdish autonomous country and one for a religious cleansing of Iraq by Islamic terrorist groups who wish to make the country purely Islamic. On the other hand, amidst the current crisis, there are also sparks of hope as opportunities arise for churches to reach out to refugees.
