What is the course all about? The Extended Cer ficate/Diploma in Business qualifica on gives learners the knowledge, understanding and  skills that underpin the business sector and that will prepare them for further study or training. This includes  the opportunity for learners to choose two units from a selec on of op ons to supplement the mandatory  units which reflect the key topics in business:    

Marke ng, business environments, interna onal business, management and finance.  

  The Extended Cer ficate is 1 A Level equivalent and the Diploma is the equivalent of   2 A Levels.    How will you be assessed on the course? Extended Cer ficate ‐ there are 4 units of study over two years. Two  units are externally assessed one coursework and one exam and two  units are coursework assessed internally by your teachers  Diploma ‐ there are 8 units of study over two years. Three units are  externally assessed 2 coursework and one exam and five units are  coursework assessed internally by your teachers 

What kind of work will you need to do outside of lessons? The students will be required to carry out further research to support their understanding of   Business through set reading, case studies and assignment tasks set for each unit. 

What could BUSINESS offer you in the future? University courses in Business, Management, Marke ng, Finance, Accountancy, Human Resources,  ICT, Banking and Commerce
