WHAT IS NRHH? The National Residence Hall Honorary is the only nationwide organization/honor society that exclusively recognizes leaders in the residence halls; it is also considered the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), Inc. It strives on four pillars: leadership, scholastics, service, and recognition.

WHAT IS AN OTM? An OTM is an “…Of the Month” award created by the National Residence Hall Honorary to recognize individual who make positive contributions to the campus community. These awards can be written by anyone in the community about anyone in the community. The focus of the award is about the individual’s contributions within that particular month, which deem them worthy of the title of “student, or faculty, or Resident Assistant, etc. Of the Month.”

OTMS IN THE REGION The OTM Regional Taskforce picks the OTM regional winners. Each member of the Taskforce is assigned to a number of categories where the individual reads each OTM and selects the one they feel is best. Then the AD-NRHH selects the one with the most votes and that becomes the regional winner. The AD-NRHH also chooses who the winner is in the event of a tie. Once a regional winner is picked they are uploaded into the database so everyone can view it, and the AD-NRHH includes them a special recognition portion in the Cougar Times.
