BANNERMAN STATION This project was for a couple who recently relocated to Wilmington, NC and have rented a condo downtown. The space must accommodate dining, a home office for two, TV watching, and conversation. The challenge was to plan and select all new furnishings and light fixtures from local retailers while staying within the $20,000 budget.

PIED A TERRE A fashion designer known for her eccentric style and use of vibrant colors has rented a studio apartment in NYC and would like to replace all furnishings so that her space will reflect her personal style.

The space which serves as both classroom and restaurant for the CFCC culinary program was in dire need of an update in both materials and furnishings. We were required to plan, select, and specify all FF&E items while remaining budget oriented.

PRIVE NIGHTCLUB THE GOAL WAS TO CREATE A SPACE FILLED WITH GLAMOUR AND SHINE FOR A WELL KNOWN CELEBRITY SINGER. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE USE OF LUXURIOUS TEXTURES, A WHITE AND METALLIC COLOR SCHEME, AND LOUNGE STYLE FURNISHINGS.

VELVET & VINYL RETAIL PROJECT This project entailed developing a specialty retail store in a mall setting. Our goal was to provide shoppers with an informative, unique, and memorable experience while following codes and regulations to achieve an ADA compliant space.

Velvet & Vinyl specializes in vintage clothing, accessories, artwork, and offers a lounge area in the rear of the store where customers can sample records and peruse old books and magazines.

We were also asked to design a custom cash-wrap counter with both transaction height work surfaces and lower surfaces for wheelchair access.

UPSCALE RESALE DESIGN CHALLENGE AS SENIOR STUDENTS, WE PARTICIPATED IN THE CHALLENGE WITH LOCAL DESIGNERS TO DESIGN A 10’ X 10’ SPACE USING ITEMS FOUND AT THE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE IN AN EFFORT TO GENERATE REVENUE FOR HOME BUILDING PROJECTS.
