CALIFORNIA OFFICES OF SNELL & WILMER WELCOME THREE NEW ATTORNEYS ORANGE COUNTY (January 5, 2016) – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that three attorneys, Gregory Bohan Ge, Alex Kim and Kelly Smith, have joined the firm’s California offices. The attorneys come from varied backgrounds and will enhance the firm’s capabilities in a number of practice areas including commercial litigation and real estate. They were recently admitted to the California State Bar and Kim and Smith were sworn in on December 14, 2015 by former Snell & Wilmer partner, Justice Raymond J. Ikola. Gregory Bohan Ge focuses his practice in real estate and business transactions where he advises domestic and international clients on property acquisitions, office and retail leasing, joint ventures and securities law compliance. He has previous experience as a Snell & Wilmer summer associate and served as an intern for Zhong-Cai United Financial in Beijing, China. Ge earned his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley where he was vice president of Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and also participated in the study abroad program, Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris. He earned his J.D. from Notre Dame Law School where he was a recipient of the Clive Schmitthoff Memorial Scholarship and received both the European Union Law and Law of War Dean’s Awards. Born and raised in Changchun, China, Ge speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

Alex Kim focuses his practice on real estate. He has previous experience as a Snell & Wilmer summer associate and as a law clerk for the DNA Unit of the Orange County District Attorney’s office. Kim earned his B.A. in English, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law where he served as a lawyering skills research fellow. Kelly Smith concentrates her practice in commercial litigation. A former Snell & Wilmer summer associate, she has also worked as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable J. Kimberly Menninger and an extern at both the U.S. Attorney’s Office and California Attorney General’s Office. Smith earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego, School of Law where she was the Executive Comments Editor of the San Diego Law Review and Vice President of the Student Bar Association.
