Will my registration fee be refundable if my child ends up not being able to go for some reason? o No, deposit is non-refundable. Are the chaperones background checked? o Yes, anyone who has not had a background check in the past year is required to obtain, at their cost, a background check. Also, if a potential chaperone has not been a resident of the state of OH for at least 5 years, they are required to get an additional FBI background check. What are the parent chaperone responsibilities? o maintain discipline & boundaries during activities o ensure campers get from activity to activity o will sleep in the cabins w/campers to ensure order How long will it take to get to Camp NEOSA? o Approximately 2 hours I have heard Camp NEOSA is a religious based camp. Is this true? o Yes, it is a Christian camp; however we have been assured that they will not force Christian beliefs on anyone- activities will focus on character traits that transcend all religions such as kindness to one another, teamwork, friendship, etc… What activities will there be? o Interactive programs counselors will put on o Outdoor education o Crafts o Ropes course o Group games o Exploration o Hiking o Bonfires w/camp songs o Kayaking (weather permiting) o Archery o Petting Zoo o And more! Will there be Camp NEOSA counselors? o Yes, they will be running all activities My child takes medications how do I know he/she will receive them? o The Camp has a certified nurse on staff that will distribute and disperse medication as neededplease complete the enclosed medication form to ensure your child receives their meds & proper dosages.

What if my child has food allergies? o You don’t need to worry-Camp NEOSA has a wrist band program to ensure children with food allergies are not given any foods that could harm them, please make sure you document any allergies on the required enclosed medical forms. What if my child gets sick? o We will have a nurse on staff, if the illness requires more extensive medical attention, we will transport your child to the nearest medical facility and call you o If your child does not require more extensive medical attention, but the nurse determines the child must return home, we will call you to come get your child. What if my child misbehaves? o You and your child are required to sign the enclosed code of conduct form. If your child fails to adhere to this signed code and is repeatedly disruptive to the camp experience, we will call you to come pick your child up. Can my child leave the premises and return at a later date? o No, the camp is discouraging any child/chaperone from leaving the premises for the entire weekend unless it is deemed an emergency. Camp has security guideline in place and they like to be aware of all persons on the premises at all times. Who would I contact in case of an emergency? o The camp has poor cell reception, please call the camp’s land line: 330.725.3671 Will cell phones be used? o Cell phone reception is limited. There will be a land line available for emergencies. Children are prohibited from taking a cell phone to camp. Tell me about the cabins. o The cabins are heated and do contain bathrooms/showers. There are five large cabins that contain 4 sections that sleeps approximately 10-11 campers. A center section is available for chaperones. Total of approximately 55 children per cabin with 4-5 chaperones. Will the kids always be together from their school? o All the schools will be together for activities When will the kids receive their cabin assignments? o Right before departure at check in
