Cheyenne M ountain H igh School ~Capping Cerem ony~ You are cordially invited to the eighth annual Cheyenne Mountain “Capping Ceremony”. As a candidate for a Cheyenne Mountain diploma, you will receive your “cap” as a mark of both significant academic achievement and of a lifelong commitment to the love of learning. The mortarboard, a vestige of the medieval scholar’s costume, is an important symbol of academic life and accomplishment.

The ceremony will be held at the Cheyenne Mountain High School Gymnasium, Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:30pm.

This night, we ask that you select a special person (someone who has meant the most to your personal growth- parent, grandparent, sibling, teacher, etc.) to join you and one other guest. At the appropriate time in the celebration, your “capper” will be called upon to place the mortarboard upon your head as a symbol of your academic accomplishment and for them as a meaningful person in your life! If you wish to participate in the Capping Ceremony, please complete the following information and return it to Mrs. Kim Guinaugh in the Principal’s Office no later than Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
