Grabovača is the elevation of the mid –Velebit, located at 770 m above sea level near the karst basin of the river Lika. From there, you can seen wide panorama of the karst plateu with Lika River canyon, but as well the historical old town Perušić.

The area of the park is characterized by a great diversity of ecosystems and habitats, and a large number of speleological objects in a small area – 9 speleological objects.Its many underground karst forms make up a qurter of the total number of protected cave facilities in Croatia.

Boating on the river Lika The experience that only the attractiveness of the Lika River can give you is now within reach!

Lika River with an approximate area of 1,570 square kilometers springs at the foot of the Velebit mountain in the southern part of the Licko field at an altitude of 600 m.Lika is the largest underground river, with a length of 78 km - which puts it in the second-largest undergroung river in Europe. Lake Kruščica is created by the construction of dam on the river Lika in 1971. It is located on the lower part of the river. Name comes from the village Kruščica which is on the site flooded, and the population was displaced into the surrounding countryside. During the summer months at the time of low water, you can see the foundations and ruins of homes, farms and roads submerged villages. DURATION OF THE TOUR:2hours

Walking trails Come and experience the area of Lika, known for its stunning views, rolling hills and karst topography. The Man and karst Trail provides visitors the chance to learn a bit more about karst topography. 20 educational panels located on the trail tell us about natural, cultural, and historical significances of this area. As part of the trail is viewpoint and resting place „VIDIKOVAC“ located on the top of the hill Grabovača. From the top of the hill Grabovača, located at 770m above sea level for clear weather, you can experience a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Gospić, Velebit, river Lika... Trail difficulty: moderate; Trail length: approximately 3,5km. Trail “Following the footsteps of Mirko Malez” is 2 km long. On the relatively small area there are five caves, and this trail’s goal is introducing visitors to the history of speleology development in Croatia Educational trail will lead you through the forest and forest slopes, past all of the caves where you can read about each cave and its history. Hiking is, no matter what’s the season, the best way to dive into the relaxed environment of this area. You will tire your body but rest your mind and, we hope, feel at least one piece of the passion towards caves and speleology .
