INTRODUCTION Security aspects in the Banking sector in India has remained an area of concern due to inadequate security system in place, lack of security awareness at functional level and our tendency to take things on face value leading to frauds and losses. As per the Finance Ministry's statistics, the frauds in our banking system have increased rapidly over the past 4-5 years resulting in a colossal loss of over one thousand crore of INR every year. Therefore, there is a strong need to sensitise this sector through professional updates on matters related to Banking Security.

Brig (Retd) A K Pathak was commissioned into the Armoured Corps of the Indian Army in 1974. During service held various Command, Staff and Instructional appointments. Had the opportunity to impart training to Post-graduate & Under graduate participants at two Army Schools of Instruction. Retired after over 35 yrs of service in the Army.
