STATISTICS PROJECT: Hypothesis Testing 50 Point Project In order to bring relevance in what hypothesis testing is, we will work on finding hypothesis testing to things that that are, or will be, affecting our lives. You and your partner will work on preparing a report on the findings of your choice of topic. In your report, you will find the hypothesis testing through t-testing and Chi Square testing based on a subject of interest to you. Included in your report will be:  Your topic, with a minimum of 12 items  Salaries, Cost, Number of Events, Style of Vehicle etc.  A table to show findings  Documentation to verify your information/data  Your report must be typed, with graphs and tables to be done on the computer and in color  You will need to be prepared to present your topic to the rest of the class and be prepared to answer questions that your teacher or classmates may have HYPOTHESIS TESTING T-Test for a Mean  Step 1: State the hypothesis and identify the claim (supported with data).  Step 2: Find the critical value (α = 0.025)  Step 3: Compute the sample test value  Step 4: Make the decision to reject or not reject the null hypothesis  Step 5: Summarize the results – in paragraph form Chi-Squared Independence Test  Step 1: State the hypotheses and identify the claim (supported with data)  Step 2: Find the critical value  Step 3: Compute the test value  Step 4: Make the decision to reject or not to reject the null hypothesis  Step 5: Summarize the results – in paragraph form SUMMARIZE  You and your group must summarize your findings, supported with data, numbers, findings and testing. This summary must include minimum 4 to 5 paragraphs to substantiate your work.
