CHW Central Intern Initiatives Inc. seeks an intern to support the development of CHW Central, a website devoted to sharing information about community health workers around the world. This assignment is expected to take approximately 10-15 hours per week, starting immediately for approximately two months. Tasks: •

Review articles, documents and training materials (according to a given set of criteria) and make recommendations about whether they should be included in the “resources” section of the website. Write short, informative abstracts or summaries of articles, documents and training materials that do not have existing summaries. Search for additional materials as necessary. Assist with securing necessary permissions to use materials.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field • Pursuing or completed master’s degree in public health • Strong reading, research (including literature searches) and analytical skills • Strong writing skills • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Able to dedicate time to the project between now and May, 2011 • Experience with web content development preferred • Knowledge of/experience with community health workers preferred To apply: Please submit a CV and short writing sample to
