Note : Attempt any seven questions. Use of calculator is allowed. Assume any data if missing/required.

Differentiate between random scan and raster 5+5 scan display. Explain the working of thin film transistor (TFT). Give a brief classification of projections. What are foreshortening factors ? Explain isometric projection with the help of necessary equations.

Explain step by step procedure to rotate 3 D object 10 about arbitrary axis which is not parallel to principal axis and not passing through the origin. (a) Why 3 D modelling is important ? Explain the limitation of wire frame modelling over solid modelling (b) Write the functions of geometrical modelling in various functional areas. BME-002

What are Bezier curves ? Write their important properties. Fit a Bezier curve having the following control points ; P0 (1, 1), P1 (3, 6), P3 (3, 7) and 3+3+4 P4 (8, 5). Find out points at t= 0.5 (a) Write the properties of the B - spline basis function. (b) A circle is passing through P 1 (0, 0), P2 (3, 5) and P3 (5, 12). Determine its parametric form and find slope at 0=60°.

Find the equivalent bicubic formulation of an open 10 and closed cubic B - spline surfaces. Name atleast six methods of solid modelling, with 3+7 the help of suitable sketch describe any one of them. 9.

(a) Why do we need synthetic surface ? Give 3+3 atleast three examples of synthetic surfaces. (b) Create the boundary model of the solid shown below.
