Standardisation The mark for the academic test combines the results of both the verbal and numerical reasoning tests. In order to do this, the raw marks for each test are standardised using accepted statistical procedures. This gives a mark of 100 as the average for all of those taking the test with the individual marks generally lying between 70 and 140. When the results for the two tests are added the average mark is 200 and the range between 140 and 280. The standardisation procedure takes into account the different ages of those taking the test. Further information on standardisation can be found at: http://www.11plusswot.co.uk/StandardisedTesting.aspx
