Continuum Companion to Aesthetics Anna Christina Ribeiro, Editor London: Continuum Books. Projected publication: 2010. Aesthetics and the philosophy of art have developed at a fast pace in the past thirty years. Much of this is the result of aestheticians drawing from other areas, not only in philosophy but also in the related fields of psychology, cognitive science, and linguistics, as well as of their taking seriously both perspectives and art forms that were previously marginalized. The Continuum Companion to Aesthetics aims to bear evidence to this development and expansion, while covering the issues that have traditionally been central to the discipline, as evinced by the Table of contents below. The Companion contributors are all scholars whose work bears witness to these novel approaches. Their contributions will make the Continuum Companion to Aesthetics a cutting-edge addition to the literature and a valuable resource to scholars and students in the field.
