COUCH SURFING - HOW DOES IT WORK? The COUCH SURFING is the new accommodation program created by BRASCON to facilitate and reduce the costs of students participating in our event who do not live close to the venue of the conference. The program is divided in two parts: Guest and Host. When registering for BRASCON 2017, you will be asked if you would like to host another student (if you live close to the region where the conference will be held), or if you would like to be hosted. Information for Guests: BRASCON will do the "matching" between hosts and guests, based on the following criteria: 1. 2.

By genre or preference as indicated in the application form By Area of ​study (Engineering, Health Science, Biology, etc.)

The following criteria will determine the applicants who have priority in admission to the Couchsurfing program: ● ● ● ●

Students Applicants who will present a poster or oral presentation during BRASCON 2017 Registration date Candidates who live farther locations from the conference venue

Information for Hosts: When registering for BRASCON 2017, in case you live near the conference site, you will be asked if you would like host one or more participants at your residence. Program Terms: By accepting to participate in the couch surfing program, both Guest and Host agree to the following terms: ●

After determining the best possible "match”, both parties will be introduced via email and/or telephone in order to organize the hosting details, by their own account.

BRASCON only performs the "matching" service and introduction of the parties and it is not responsible for the organization and implementation of hosting.

The Host should not accept any payment from the Guest, except when regarding consumables items, and only if previously agreed between the parties.

BRASCON team will do its best to help solving conflicts between participants in the couch surfing program. However, BRASCON cannot be held responsible for any problems or conflicts that may occur during the stay (breach of confidence, misunderstandings, and others).
