The College Council will supervise the smooth functioning and administration of the College, Hospital, Hostel Blocks, Staff Quarters & Library Block.

Minutes of Meeting of College Council on 5th January, 2016

During the 1st meeting of College Council of Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research scheduled on 5th January,2016; all the committee members were informed about the Aims and Objectives of formation of College Council by the Chairman, Dr V P HathiIa. Following Roles, Responsibilities and scope o~activities of College Council were discussed and consented by all the members.

• College council will be responsible for all decisions related to academics of MBBS students. • Academic calendar and curriculum according to MCI guidelines (both theory and practical) prepared by HODs of respective departments wiII be discussed in College council meetings periodically and finalized after mutual consent of all members. • College council will be responsible for organizing regular training workshops for all faculty members. • College council will promote. and encourage research activities by faculty and provide academic support for the same. • College council will be responsible for analysis of results of MBBS students and suggestions for improvement in the same. • College Council will be responsible for decisions regarding all extracurricular activities ofMBBS students. • The letter received from The Secretary, Medical Council oflndia on 31 st December, 2015 requesting submission of point- wise compliance of the deficiencies pointed out, was discussed in the meeting and it was decided to comply all the deficiencies in one week time and submit the compliance. • It was decided to hold weekly academic meets on every Friday afternoon in College council room. The meeting ended with vote of thanks to the Chair.

Following points were discussed during the meeting.

L' It was decided to form a students Hostel regulatory

committee from among the college Council members. Students Hostel Regulatory Committee will be responsible for all Hostel affairs of students which will include room allocations, maintenance of discipline in Hostel, taking necessary disciplinary actions against students showing misconduct etc. students Hostel Regulatory commiffee will be apartof coil.g. council committee.

It was decided to form a College Discipline Committee from among the College Council members, which will be responsible for all student related disciplinary affairs of parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research.
