be self motivated and set goals for yourself overcome setbacks and bounce back—see failure and/ or disappointment as an opportunity to grow advocate for your needs and wants in an appropriate manner (especially in situations involving hardship) increase the probability that high quality college and career opportunities will be available to you in the future by making good plans and choices now

be on time and fully prepared for class meet all safety and dress code expectations start work promptly do quality work stay on task, work hard and use time effectively make up missing work and lost learning after an absence

To go beyond core expectations, you also: be open-minded towards new ideas and methods display a strong sense of enthusiasm and optimism represent yourself and the CRTC in a positive manner take ownership for your own shortcomings or errors and accept full responsibility to find a resolution demonstrate great pride and ownership in everything you do
To go beyond core expectations, you also: listen critically and ask probing follow-up questions to clarify the feedback you receive provide quality constructive feedback to peers and others jump on all opportunities to learn and seek mastery ask professionals (without holding back for fear of ‘bad’ reviews) to provide you in-depth and specific feedback on your performance; respond by adjusting and steadily improving
