Review Board input on Enrichment Program format options Discussion: Lay out the cost of the programs, get feedback from enrichment and classroom teachers on the value and integration of the programs, create hiring pools for MS Spanish and Performing Arts, do we move Spanish into the curriculum column for MS or remove it, do the enrichment programs well or don’t do them, need to provide an ageappropriate MS enrichment program, next board meeting look at budget, phase in enrichment programs and Spanish and tiein each program with a description in the charter; remind board to look at the program and refer to the charter and think of the greater good for all students; enrichment teacher preference to keep K5 programs once a week and semester program for 67 2. Review Board input on Spanish program format options for all grades Discussion: The Charter uses the word proficiency in Spanish, Spanish should be a curriculum at the MS level, Put the three options for the board to vote on, Dual Lingo is a free online language program that can be used by classroom teachers in addition to the instruction by a Spanish teacher, present all the spanish options at the next board meeting (K4 Spanish Culture Classes/57 Spanish Class; K3 Spanish Culture Classes/47 Spanish Class; Spanish Culture Classes at all levels); extended day (8am start) will go along with the Spanish Class format; Spanish Buddies as part of the program; follow a curriculum for the programs 3.
