The Dartmouth Ski Team and Dartmouth Athletics Peak Performance (DP2) program are seeking applicants to fill a combined Dartmouth Alpine and Dartmouth Peak Performance Assistant position. This is a 10 month position, starting approximately Sept 1. Health Insurance is included. The position reports to the Head Men’s and Women’s Alpine coaches and the Peak Performance director. From Nov 15 to March 31 the position responsibilities will be primarily with the Ski Team and the other months supporting the DP2 program This is a excellent position for a motivated individual looking to gain experience in athletic administration and management, sports science and alpine ski coaching. While this is not a coaching position the individual will work directly with the head coaches and athletes both on and off the hill on a daily basis. Applicants will require a bachelors degree. They must be highly organized, self motivated, willing to learn and interested in working with high level student-athletes in the NCAA environment. High level ski racing or coaching experience is not require but a knowledge of alpine ski racing and strong skiing skills is a must. Responsibilities will include video and timing, athlete information management, entries and travel logistics, event management. Must have good winter driving skills and ability drive a 12 passenger van. Assistant will participate in a 3 - 4 week training and competition period away from campus in November- December.
