Data infrastructure & citation roadmap We are working toward: Embedding DOIs into automated data collection workflows Minting DOIs for grey literature: theses, reports, discussion papers etc. Improving links between research publications and underlying data Reviewing DOI guidelines, rules and workflows at future points in time Embedding types of metadata, such as COINS, into the landing pages to assist import into citation tools
Data infrastructure & citation roadmap We are also: Maintaining a watching brief on developments that link ORCID researcher IDs and DataCite DOIs (The ODIN Project) Monitoring traffic from DataCite search to the Research Hub Deepening our technical knowledge of how DOIs are used to collect metrics and altmetrics
