Board-a-Match for Mohan Sicka Trophy 2nd Elimination Round A total of 54 teams participated in the first elimination round of the Board-a-Match event for the Mohan Sicka Trophy. 39 teams qualified to the 2nd elimination round, where they were joined by 7 seeded teams who played the quarter-final & semi-final of the Team of Four event. The 2nd elimination round of the event was played in 2-sessions. The 46 teams were put in 4 sections. 11 teams each were in “A” & “B” and 12 teams each were in “C” & “D”. After playing 2 boards per round (42 boards in A&B & 44 boards in C&D were played) 10 top teams from combined sections “A” & “B” and 10 teams from combined sections “C” & “D” qualified for the BAM finals. The toppers of the combined sections were: Sections “A” & “B” combined – MAYA MEERA SNEHA

The 20 qualified teams will be joined by the Ruia Trophy runners-up “Formidables” team for tomorrow’s 3session final of the BAM event for Mohan Sicka Trophy. The complete 2nd elimination round final results are given on page 3.

OPEN PAIR for HOLKAR Trophy 2nd Elimination Round The 2nd elimination round of the Holkar Open Pairs was played yesterday in 2 sessions of 22 boards each. 8 Pairs from Team event (Semi-finalists & finalists) joined the 72 qualifiers from 1st elimination round. As 2 qualifiers did not turn up, the 80 pairs were divided in 3 sections. Sections “A” & “B” had 13 tables, whereas “C” contained 14 tables. The pairs played 22 boards in each session with Scrambled Mitchell movement. The top ranking qualifiers are: 1. 2. 3.

B.M. PRAHLADKA SPONSORED PAIRS EVENT

A total of 56 players participated in the Lohia sponsored “Individual” Bridge event played yesterday. The players played a qualifying round in the morning, where after played 13 rounds of 2 boards each, the TOP 28 pairs qualified for the finals.

A total of 46 pairs participated in the B.M. Prahladka sponsored Pairs Bridge event played yesterday afternoon. The pairs were put in 2 sections (Section “A” – 11 tables & Section “B” – 12 Tables) and played 22 boards with scrambled Mitchell movement.

The leaders in the qualifying round were: 1. D. Bhadra 2. K. Naguri 3. Deepak Sarkar

The provisional result of the event is as follows:
