Dear Supporter of Healthy Communities: The Bike Week Committee invites you to join Mayor Savage and Councillors for the 5th annual Mayor’s Ride on Thursday, June 8th (3:00 - 5:00 pm), one of the signature events of Bike Week 2017 (June 2 – 11) www.halifax.ca/bikeweek The Mayor’s Ride aims to promote Bike Week and celebrate our accomplishments in supporting active transportation in the Region. It’s a great opportunity to show that you support making Halifax a healthy active community. Last year’s event attracted over 75 riders and broad media coverage. Our theme this year is “Cycling is for Everyone”, and we will be going on a leisurely ride through North Dartmouth and Burnside. We’ll begin and finish at the Dartmouth North Community Centre on Highfield Park Drive and drop-in for a visit at the Canadian Automobile Association’s Burnside location on John Savage Avenue. At the end of our short ride, you’re invited to join us for a reception featuring light refreshments, information displays and great conversation.
