Selection Procedure:- The 'Online' Applications will be sorted out Centre wise. The conduct of test is planned during the month of April 2017. The Selection procedure is as follows:(a) Short-listing criteria will be based on higher percentage of marks for a particular examination Centre. (b) The qualifying cut off percentage (%) of a particular Centre may be increased if more number of applications with higher percentage is received. (c) The written examination will be of objective type, which will generally cover subjects such as Maths, Physics, basic Chemistry, knowledge of English upto 12th standard, general knowledge, current affairs, quantitative aptitude and reasoning etc. (d) Those who qualify written examination will undergo Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Initial Medical Examination (Preliminary). The testing procedure will take 2-3 days. Physically Challenged candidates are not eligible to apply for this examination. (e) Physical Fitness Test (PFT): PFT will be conducted for all those who qualify the written tests. All candidates are advised to be in possession of sport rig (Shoe, T shirt, Trouser etc). The PFT will consist of, Š 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes. Š 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak) Š 10 Push up. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. (f) Candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will only be required to undergo initial recruitment medical examination at the respective recruitment Centres or any other place as decided by the Indian Coast Guard. (g) Based on the performance in the written examination, candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination in a ratio as may be decided by the Indian Coast Guard. Mere declaration of fit in initial medical examination does not indicate selection of the candidate for the final medical at INS Chilka. (h) The select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests depending upon the available vacancies. SBI will retain one copy of Pay-in-Slip (Bank’s copy) and return two copies (BSP's copy and candidate's copy) of the same to the candidate. • Feed this unique journal number and date of payment written on the Pay-in-Slip in SAIL’s website before closing date of website after logging in to generate provisional Registration Slip. • Candidate will have to bearthe bank charges in addition to the applicable application fee. Option II: Payment through Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. • For this option no fees payment challan will be generated. The payment can be made through Net banking/Credit Card/Debit Card using the payment gateway made available. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates. • After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following the instructions available on the screen. SWACHHTA PAKHWADA BY THE MINISTRY OF WOMEN & CHILD

T

he Ministry of Women & Child Development is observing the Swachhta Pakhwada from 1st March 2017 to 15th March 2017, to raise awareness about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan among women and children. The Swachhta Pakhwada is observed by various Ministries of Government of India to achieve the goal of universal sanitation, hygiene and ‘open defecation free’ India by 2019. As a part of nationwide activities, the Ministry has written to all the states to observe the Swachhta Pakhwada through the wide network of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across the country. The states have been asked to carry out the following activities at the AWCs: I. White-washing AWCs involving local communities; II. Pictures, local logos on walls by local people free of cost; III. Cleanliness in and around AWCs; IV. Weeding out of obsolete records etc; V. Divyang access to toilets may be reviewed; VI. Review of toilets constructed; VII. Involving private sector under

The officials will cover all corners of the country, travelling to Haryana, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Tripura, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala as well as conducting activities in New Delhi.
