Department Order No. 03 September 2001
Pursuant to NEDA Memorandum Order No. 4-75, an Inter-Agency Technical Committee on Taxation was created to serve as technical arm of the NEDA Committee on Taxation. Subsequently, with the issuance of NEDA Resolution No. 27 series of 1987, the Department of Finance was designated Co-Chair of the IATCT. Upon NEDA's suggestion in 1989, the chairmanship of the Inter-Agency Committee was transferred to the Department of Finance in recognition of the fact that the Department has the main responsibility of formulating and administering fiscal policies and to enhance the performance of both the IATCT and NEDA Board Tax Committee (NBTC) taking into account the primary role of the DOF on taxation matters. The National tax Research Center (NTRC) shall continue to function as Comnittee Secretariat.
