Thursday, 1st February 2018 Re: Days for Girls Community Dear Parents, Following on from the success of the Monday afternoon Days for Girls team over the past two years, we would love to offer you the opportunity to take part in the inaugural Community DFG Afternoon! On Saturday, February 24th, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm, Parklands is opening its doors to anyone who would like to spend a little time with some excellent company for a practical purpose. We will have stations set up for the various tasks available: tracing, cutting, pinning, sewing, folding, packing and of course, the all-important afternoon tea! All this will be held in the Function Room. Over the course of the afternoon, we will make all elements of the kits and all that we achieve will work towards buying back days for girls in Cambodia by helping them manage their menstruation. Please invite your friends and family as all hands are very welcomed to make progress on this very important task. Parklands Christian College has generously supported the purchase of materials for the kits for the past two years and has agreed to continue to do so, however, you can help us to help more girls. We are hoping that each person who attends will donate $5 towards the ongoing cost of fabric, thread, ribbon, wash cloths, knickers, snap lock bags, soap and freight. If you would also like to purchase some actual items, please contact me for further information on what is acceptable.
