DIEGO CHECA HIDALGO
Spanish historian specialized in contemporary political affairs with a focus on the role of civil society in international politics, especially in nonviolent conflict transformation, international conflict management and socio-environmental conflicts. He held teaching and research positions at the University of Granada (Spain) and Coventry University (UK). He authored and edited several scientific publications and training kits on peace education, and he recently completed a project on socio-environmental conflicts and non-violent interventions supported through the Marie Curie Fellowship (European Commission). He is currently affiliated with the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation Studies, Coventry University (UK) and An Najah National University, Nablus (Palestinian Territories). (
