SUBJECT: Intensive Field Training-Workshop on Collaborative Desktop Publishing for School Paper Advisers (SPAs) and iBayaw Newsletter Editorial Staff (Batch I) DATE:

1. Relative to training students/campus journalists in schools as mandated by RA 7079 also known as Campus Journalism Act of 1991, SDO Bayawan City further strengthens and intensifies the implementation of Special Curricular Progam on Campus Journalism through actual field works in various media such as print, radio, TV, and online broadcasts. 2. In view of the above, an Intensive Field Training-Workshop on Collaborative Desktop Publishing for School Paper Advisers (SPAs) and iBayaw Newsletter Editorial Staff (for Batch I) will be conducted on April 17-21, 2017 at the Library Hub Conference Room, Bayawan City. 3. The workshop specifically aims to produce the 32-page Souvenir Magazine for the pt Innovations Congress through the series of writing, lay-outing, editing, revising and printing the initially conceptualized contents of the material. 4. 5. Teaching personnel who are supposed to be on teachers' leave shall be entitled to a five­ day service credits for the duration of the activity, subject to the CSC regulations on giving service credits to teaching personnel, and provided that the target output is finished and the project completed. 6. Per diem of participants are charged to SEF-campus journalism funds/local funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules, regulations and procedures. 7. Please be guided accordingly.
