DORA STATISTICS The Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) began on June 3rd (soft DORA opening on First Friday). The following statistics were captured for the specific DORA area from June through September for the time period of 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Included are police contacts which resulted in citation or arrest. The municipal court and police department were sorted out of the data to avoid including routine arrests and transports not related to DORA. The chart information (left) was collected from our dispatch records. By design, police presence was increased on Friday and Saturday nights in the downtown area after DORA went into effect. Accordingly, there was an increase in arrests and citations compared to prior years below chart. Most of that increase is found in traffic citations.
