We provide administrative, technical, and professional support services for engineering/design, construction and environmental remediation projects worldwide. Our Internship opportunities are located on the Hanford site in Richland, Washington. We offer 10-12 week internship assignments with the following companies:
The US Department of Energy (DOE) oversees the projects associated with cleaning up the reactors, soil, groundwater, solid waste burial sites, and also manages the demolition of facilities, and the disposition of the remaining plutonium left on the site.
CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC) is the prime contractor for the safe, environmental cleanup of the Central Plateau at the Hanford Site. CH2M HILL Plateau Remediation Company is responsible for waste retrieval and fuels management, groundwater and vadose zone remediation, demolition of facilities and canyons, and closure of the Plutonium Finishing Plant. Along the Columbia River, CH2M HILL is also remediating the 100K Area, which includes preparing for the treatment of highly radioactive sludge that is now the K West Basin, where it will be stored until it can be treated.
Mission Support Alliance (MSA) team provides a number of cross-cutting services to the DOE and other contractors at the Hanford Site, such as safeguards and security, environmental integration, site infrastructure and utilities, site business management, information resources and content management and portfolio management.
