There may be times we will not be open due to natural disasters.

Regular clothing (e.g. shirts, fleece, sweaters, suits, jackets, uniforms, jeans, leather, coats, windbreakers, sweats, down jackets, scarves, mufflers, pajamas, neckties)
Sheets, towels, blankets, etc.
We cannot take:
Dirty or smelly items (unwashed items)
Wet items
Futons, pillows, cushions, rugs, carpets, floor cushions, electric blankets, curtains, etc.
Bottles
We can take:
1.8 liter bottles [isshou-bin] (brown and green)
Beer bottles (large and medium)
We cannot take:
Clear or blue bottles
1.8 liter bottles of any other color
Small beer bottles
Other bottles
How to put out your items:
Newspapers, Leaflets
Bundle and securely cross-tie them with white paper string.
Magazines, Mixed Paper
Bundle and securely cross-tie them with white paper string.
For mixed paper, put it in a bag for collection of the contents only (Please take the bag home with you).
Cardboard
During high winds, be careful not to let the contents fly away. Bundle and securely cross-tie them with white paper string.
Aluminum Products
Lightly wash and then drain out the water.
For pots and kettles, you can leave handles and such attached.
Used Clothing
Please wash and dry, then place in a plastic bag (clear or semi-transparent). There is no particular need to categorize the items.
We may refuse items for reasons such as: the item is extremely dirty, or the item is not one we can process.
Bottles
Please lightly rinse with water.
Please note:
The collection station is a temporarily rented location. Please do not bring items at any time besides the collection days and times.
During collection times, there will be an attendant on site. Please follow the attendant’s instructions.
We may refuse items for reasons such as: the item is extremely dirty, or the item is not one we can process. (Please contact the Resource and Waste Management Division (453-6192) beforehand to get a detailed list of collection items).
We may not be open during natural disasters such as typhoons.
