Economic Development Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday, March 16, 2017 April Hurley, Committee Chairperson The Housing and Land-Use Committee met on March 16, 2017 at the Bronx Community Board #6’s office. During the meeting the following members were present: District Manager, John Sanchez, Jannie Armstrong, Virginia Bird, Evonne Capers, Claudette Coles, Diana Diaz, Sara Nunez-Mejia, Rosa Peraza. The following item was discussed: Teresa Garcia, Program Manager for the Department of Small Business Services (SBS), presented on the NY Main Street Program and SBS wanting to apply for it to service businesses on East Tremont. The businesses would be reimbursed 25% of the total cost up to $50,000 for storefront and exterior improvements. The committee recommended for the full board to provide a letter of support for the SBS grant application. Many thanks to everyone who came out to our March meeting.
