FOOD SERVICES The School Department, in compliance with federal and state laws and the regulations of the Department of Education, shall operate school nutrition programs. The School Committee shall approve the prices set for school meals and the price of milk. As required for participation in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs: A.
A “Type A” meal shall be made available to students
B.
Free and reduced-price meals shall be provided to students who cannot afford to pay the price of the “Type A” meal
C.
Students shall be permitted to bring their lunches from home and to purchase beverages and incidental items
