STUDENT LEADERSHIP ELECTIONS STUDENT CONGRESS & STUDENT COUNCIL Northville High School Students who are interested in a student leadership position for the 2016-17 school year need to READ THIS ENTIRE PACKET CAREFULLY! There are two separate groups of elected positions in Student Government at Northville High School: Student Council and Student Congress. These groups operate independently from one another, but they hold their elections at the same time. Students may hold positions in both groups simultaneously; however, a student may not hold an officer position in both groups at the same time. Listed below are brief descriptions of the two groups. STUDENT COUNCIL CLASS OFFICERS Class officers are in charge of leading their class when it comes to fund-raising and school spirit. Prom and graduation are the major issues concerning senior class officers. Each class elects a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer. The senior class advisor can appoint a historian at his/her own discretion. Senior Class Officers (Class of 2017) Junior Class Officers (Class of 2018) Sophomore Class Officers (Class of 2019)

Major events include community service, Teacher Appreciation, Freshmen Orientation, and Homecoming. Student Congress consists of 40 representatives, 10 from each grade. Included in that number are the 5 officers (President, 2 Vice Presidents, Secretary, and Treasurer). The advisor for Student Congress is Mr. Chris Cronin.
