In a nutshell: Nik accidentally accessed the voters list from 2014 (instead of the 2016 one I sent) and issued/mailed PIN# to the 740+ Individuals. Some who no longer are employed at KU, but many who are still here. In addition a much smaller number at WKU than now.. Because of the growing number of Colleges, expanding list of Lecturer and re-assigning ballot number to Colleges now listed in alphabetical order by new names (all good things) not one individual of the 740+/listed would have access to the correct ballot. But two brief phone calls, & 2 emails later and with all of the work on Nik's end, things are back on track, but with a delay.

 Nik reworked the PIN# distribution and while conceptually I understand how, but can't even begin to explain. I'm sure he is testing & testing it on his end, but because the set-up is built this far with assigned PIN#s I can no longer login to test. My logging into the system, with my distinct PIN# will be a confirmation that those in the Professional Staff category are seeing the correct ballot.  75 new PIN#s are being sent to China, and they are to throw away the first package received (the first batch of PIN#s are useless now)  150+ new ballots were to be mailed out on Wednesday eve or Thursday morning to the USA folks (new folks not on 2014 list and any address changes).  retired folks who may have received the mailing are blocked out due to now cancelled PIN#s  And the three who managed to vote early will be receiving new PIN#s and must log their vote again, this time on the right ballot.
