Enabling Telugu in your Windows XP 1) Go to http://www.bhashaindia.com/Downloadsv2/ListCategories.aspx 2) Download Indic IME 1( Telugu ) [http://www.bhashaindia.com/Downloads/IME/Telugu_IME_Setup.zip] 3) Extract and run the Telugu Setup.exe 4) If you got an error with the screenshot below

a. Cancel the setup. b. Download the isscript.msi file from the http://www.installengine.com/cert02/isengine/isscript.msi and install it manually c. Try to run the Telugu setup.exe once again 5) Restart your System. 6) Go to Control Panel  Regional and Language Options 7) Open “Languages” Tab

Check the two Check boxes and click OK The setup will ask your Windows XP I386 Folder path. Select and continue Restart the System Navigate back to “Languages” and Click on “Details” button

12) Select the Keyboard and Click “Add” 13) Select Input Language as “Telugu” and the keyboard layout /IME as “Telugu Indic IME [v 5.0]” and click on “OK”

14) Select the Telugu Indic IME [v 5.0] under the keyboard and click on the “KeySettings” button in the Settings Tab 15) Configure your desired key combinations to enable Telugu. 16) Click “OK” for all Opened tabs or dialogs 17) A language bar will appear on top of your Screen as 18) If not you can view by in the Tool bar settings (Right click on your tool bar  Toolbars Language bar) 19) Select the Desired language to Type (English is default, Select “Telugu” to type Telugu) 20) Open any Windows Application (Notepad, Word etc., ) 21) Start typing in Telugu. 22) For typing help StartPrograms Indic IME 1Telugu Telugu Indic IME 1 V5.0 Help 23) తెలుగు కు స్వాగతం

24) You can use the Telugu language as you are using English in windows XP. Few of them are a. Name the files in Telugu b. Type the Telugu characters in Web .. gmail , yahoo etc,, c. Start blogging in Telugu.
