Only companies specializing in Big Data, not generic multiproducts

• 

Only EU28 companies - hadquarters in EU

• 

If the headqurters is in US, but the company has a research office in EU it has to be considered , in particular if the company is originally from EU, then bought by US company but still with R&D base in the EU

• 

Companies on Crunchbase under the key words and with funding >1 mln euros

• 

Companies that are fully operational and not in the seed/ preparatory phase (with clear product and clients)

• 

Companies that were mentioned in the landscape consultation process and fulfil the criteria

EU Data Landscape - criteria Out of long list of 430 identified companies, 68 has been chosen for the landscape map beta 2 -  18 new companies on the list -  11 dropped out
