MHC Academy FACTS Step-by-Step Guide
1. To begin your applica4on, navigate to online.factsmgt.com/ signin/3K3T1. If this is your first 4me applying for financial aid through FACTS, click Create a username & password. Please note: The link provided above is the direct link for the financial aid applica+on for Mary Help of Chris+ans Academy. Using other FACTS links will not link your applica+on to the Academy automa+cally.
2. On the Create Account screen, enter your email address and then click Next.

3. Enter your contact informa4on on this page.
4. On the Online Account Profile page, you will create a username and password and choose security ques4ons that may be used to recover your account should your login informa4on be misplaced.

5. AQer crea4ng a username and password, you will be taken to the Welcome page. As a new user, select the Start Applica4on op4on to be taken to the aid applica4on.
6. Select the year for which you are seeking aid.

7. AQer selec4ng your aid year, you will be taken to a page will provide an overview page with useful informa4on about the applica4on process. You may print this informa4on or access from your account at any 4me.

8. AQer reviewing the What to Expect overview page, the next screen will confirm the school or schools you would like to receive a copy of your applica4on. MHC Academy will automa4cally appear, but you may add other schools if you choose. Click Start Applica4on.
9. Verify the school name and loca4on. If correct, click Use Selected School(s).

10. AQer confirming your school selec4on, you will be taken to the Grant & Aid Applica4on. On the leQ side of the page, you will see the applica4on sec4ons, as well as the pages in each sec4on. The progress bar above the sidebar will indicate how much of the applica4on you have completed. On the right side of the page, you will see your unique Applica4on ID. You should make a note of this number for future reference. On this page, enter the primary applicant’s informa4on. To con4nue, click Save & Con4nue. To exit and con4nue at a later 4me, click Save & Exit.
Residents of Passaic, Sussex, and Morris Coun4es will see an addi4onal ques4on from Tri-County Scholarship Fund at the bodom of this page.. From the dropdown, select your county name, then click Save & Con4nue. (Please note: Tri-County Scholarship Fund is an external scholarship provider with its own selec+on criteria. Only residents of the three coun+es are eligible to apply. Your applica+on details will be received and reviewed separately by TCSF.)

11. You will now be asked for the co-applicant’s informa4on. If there is no co-applicant living in your household, check the box at the top of the page.

12. AQer submieng both the applicant’s and co-applicant’s informa4on, you will asked to provide the student’s informa4on. When entered, click Add This Student.
13. The Student List will show all students entered to this point. If there is more than one K-12 student in your household who adends a tui4on charging school, you must enter data for all students. To add more students, click Add More Students. If there are no more students to add, click Save & Con4nue.

14. A pop-up screen will ask you to confirm that all students have been entered. Select the appropriate response.
15. On the School Informa4on page, check the box next to the school your student will be adending or is applying to. Select the appropriate grade level and enter the informa4on requested below. Click Save & Con4nue.

16. You will now be prompted to enter informa4on about your household size and taxable income. You should reference your most recent income tax records to ensure the accuracy if the informa4on entered.

17. AQer entering your taxable income informa4on, please complete the NonTaxable Income sec4on.
18. When you have completed all pages on the Income Informa4on sec4on, you will reach the Change of Income page. Please indicate any an4cipated changes in income here.

19. To accurately es4mate your ability to pay tui4on expenses, the applica4on will now collect informa4on about your monthly expenses. Please enter all expenses as accurately as possible.

20. The Annual Expenses page will collect informa4on about your household’s annual expenses. When complete, click Save & Con4nue. Details about any assets and liabili4es will be entered on the next page.
21. When all relevant financial details have been collected, residents of Passaic, Sussex, and Morris Coun4es will see an addi4onal field from TriCounty Scholarship Fund. Check the box and click Save & Con4nue. Residents of other coun+es will not see this screen.

22. You will now be prompted to review your applica4on data and make correc4ons, if necessary.

23. When all financial data have been entered, there will be a $30.00 submission and processing fee. Please select your payment method from the drop down, and confirm that you have read and accept the payment terms. You also have the op4on to save your progress and submit your applica4on later.

24. Depending on your payment method choice, the next screen will either prompt you for your credit card or your bank account details and billing address. Entered the required informa4on and Click Add. Following the remaining prompts to submit your payment and reach the confirma4on screen, which you may print for your records.
Reminder to Submit Suppor6ng Documenta6on Your applica+on will not be complete un+l your suppor+ng documenta+on has been received. The informa+on in your applica+on must be verified with your most recent tax return or an employerissued W2 statement of wages. You may upload electronic copies through the FACTS site, or send them by fax. Please do not send your documents to the school office. FAQ’s Who is FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment? FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment is an independent, third party company that conducts financial analysis to determine your family’s financial need. Your educa?onal ins?tu?on receives a confiden?al report outlining your financial situa?on based on the informa?on obtained in your applica?on and suppor?ng tax documents.
Who decides how much financial aid a family will receive? Based on the analysis completed by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment and the recommenda?ons provided therein, MHC Academy is responsible for determining the final grant or aid award.
I probably don’t qualify for aid. Should I apply for aid anyway? FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment does not set any income guidelines or have restric?ons on who may apply for financial aid. If you feel your family should receive financial aid, it is to your benefit to apply.
Is it too late to apply for financial aid? Families that apply for aid by the stated deadlines receive priority considera?on for financial aid. Late registrants are encouraged to apply for aid even aJer the deadlines have passed, however all late applica?ons will be considered pending the availability of any remaining funds.
What documentaDon will I need to submit? You will need to submit your federal income tax return, W-2 forms, and suppor?ng documenta?on for non-taxable income.
Why do I have to provide all of this personal and confidenDal informaDon? In order to provide your educa?onal ins?tu?on with an accurate assessment, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment must verify your expenses and household income. By providing us with all of your informa?on, we can assist your ins?tu?on in making an informed decision about the amount of financial aid needed for each family.
Does the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment process require a credit check? No. FACTS does not require a credit check and applying for aid will not affect your credit ra?ng. 18

FAQ’s Is the applicaDon process secure? Yes. All documenta?on received is imaged upon receipt and then destroyed. Then, the applica?on data becomes property of the applicable ins?tu?on.
How can I check the status of my applicaDon? You may login to your FACTS user account at online.factsmgt.com/aid to review the status of your applica?on. Please allow 2 weeks processing ?me from the date you provided the suppor?ng documents before inquiring further about receipt and/or status of the uploaded or faxed documents.
Will FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment send me a copy of my assessment? No. The assessment of your applica?on will be sent only to the educa?onal ins?tu?on or organiza?on providing the award. Informa?on sent to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment to complete your assessment, such as your 1040 tax form or W-2, will not be returned to you.
I forgot my username/password. How do I login? To retrieve your username or password, visit this link, or navigate to the applica?on screen and click “Forgot Username/Password." If you’ve forgo[en your username, it will be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you’ve forgo[en your password, a link will be emailed to the email address associated with your account that allows you to reset your password.
How much does it cost to apply? A $30 nonrefundable applica?on fee is required before your applica?on can be submi[ed.
How do I submit supporDng documents? AJer comple?ng the online applica?on, you will need to upload or fax all required suppor?ng documenta?on. Documents can be uploaded online by logging in to your account at online.factsmgt.com/aid or faxed to 866.315.9264.
