Dear Parent/Carer I am sure some of you will be aware that my time at Beacon Academy is drawing to an end and I couldn't let this opportunity pass without saying a few words. I know I am leaving the Academy in a more secure and stable position than when I arrived four terms ago and I hope the growing excellence seen in many aspects of the work of the Academy gives you as much confidence for the future as it does us. Rarely have I worked with colleagues more dedicated and committed to educating children or parents more supportive of an academy and the staff. It has been a privilege to lead a great team of colleagues and I am sure the changes we have implemented will allow Beacon to continue to improve its educational outcomes for years to come. I leave with great memories and hopefully lasting friendships borne out of working so closely with everyone connected with Beacon. I am leaving the Academy in excellent hands and will watch its progress from afar but hope to visit next year on a number of occasions.
