“The GreenFaith Fellowship Program is a critical initiative for the religious environmental movement.” Drs. John Grim and Mary Evelyn Tucker, Co-Directors, Forum on Religion & Ecology
What is the GreenFaith Fellowship Program? The GreenFaith Fellowship Program is an 18-month comprehensive education and training program to prepare lay and ordained leaders from diverse religious traditions for religiously based environmental leadership. Through this program, GreenFaith offers leaders committed to the field of religious environmentalism a unique opportunity for educational, spiritual and vocational growth and skill development.
Imagine a world where … Religious leaders speak as influentially on the environment as they do on other issues. Houses of worship lead community efforts for environmental sustainability. GreenFaith Fellows take part in three residential retreats. Shown here, participants enjoy a GreenFaith retreat at the Garrison Institute in New York’s Hudson Valley.
Religious educators teach children that caring for the earth is a moral obligation.
The GreenFaith Fellowship Program makes this a reality.
