Observations MCA visited the Project site at 73 Sumner Street in San Francisco on November 5, 2015 to observe the work in progress by Everest Waterproofing. Observations were as follows:

Rausch Courtyard Elevation Spall Repair At the time of MCA’s site visit, Everest began making repairs of the concrete spall damage at the corner of the building on the Rausch Elevation. According to Namgyal (Everest), all of the rebar that showed corrosion was cleaned and coated with Sika Armatec 110, to protect the metal from further corrosion. Everest also attached wire lath and anchors along the opening where the spalled concrete was either removed or missing, to be used for strengthening the patch (Photos 1-3). MCA recommended that the existing metal flashing between the corner and the adjacent building remain in place, and that a sealant joint be installed between the new concrete patch and the metal flashing. Rausch Courtyard Elevation Window Frames Everest continued to prep the steel window frame where corrosion occurred in order to install new sealant (Photos 4-5). No exceptions were taken.
