Gloria Hicks Elementary School Grade Level Discipline Plan 2016-2017

1st Grade

In order to help guarantee students in our school the excellent learning climate they deserve, we are utilizing the following Discipline Plan at Gloria Hicks Elementary School.

OUR PHILOSPHY We believe all students can behave appropriately. We want to provide each student the best learning opportunity; therefore, we cannot allow any student to stop a teacher from teaching and/or any student from learning. We firmly believe that behavior impacts learning. We ask for your continued support as we continue on our road to excellence.

CLASSROOM RULES Gloria Hicks Elementary School will utilize the JAGUAR RULES for the 2016-2017 school year. The JAGUAR rules will be posted in each classroom as a reminder for students to: L: E: A: R: N: S:

Listen and follow directions Everyone will keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves Always respect others and all property Raise your hand for recognition to talk Need to be prepared Students use proper behavior at all times

IF A STUDENT CHOOSES TO BREAK A CLASSROOM RULE Posted alongside the JAGUAR rules in the classroom is the reward system that will be utilized by each teacher.
