Honors Arts and Literature in Paris
This three week Maymester Honors Seminar explores Paris as a catalyst for influencing the literature, art, architecture, and history of parallel creative movements in 20th and 21st Century American Culture. The course will meet workshop and discussion style each day around the living classroom of of the city itself. Field trips (plays, museums, and concerts as well as historic site visits), side trips to Versailles and Monet’s Giverney, as well as a river cruise on the famed Seine are just a few examples of the interactive, excursion based course design. Since Paris is the main text for the course, the readings and assignments will be integrated specifically to the role of place in the arts.

Cost $5,550 Cost includes: non-refundable application charge, tuition, room & board, in-country excursions.
Program is open to students in the University Honors and University Scholars Programs only.
Airfare, visa fees, and personal expenses are not included.
