She makes her way right to the top of my favorites list with every beautiful, emotional and stunning story she tells. Her writing is completely captivating and her stories move me like no other. I really thought there was no way any of the ‘Sweet Home’ books could compare to Sweet Fall for me. That book is so special and will always hold a place in my heart. I can happily say that this book was just as good as Sweet Fall. Just as beautiful, just as heart wrenching and just as moving. It wrecked me in the best possible way. Ally Prince is now an art curator. It’s her dream job. And she just got the opportunity of a lifetime. To work with an artist that moves her. That she’s admired for a long time. For Elpidio. Elpi is a man who’s made a lot of mistakes. He’s a broken hero. He’s trying to make changes in his life. Trying to redeem himself for the things he’s done in his past. He’s not sure if he can ever really make up for the wrong doings in his life, but he’s trying. He expresses his pain, his guilt, and all the things from his past he wants to remember and wants to forget through his sculptures. When he decides to show them, he wants it to be anonymous, hence the name Elpi. He never wants anyone to see him or know him as Elpi. But Ally does. She works her way in. Give me a broken boy, a damaged man and I am a happy reader. Elpi is so broken from his past. He has so much darkness he just wants to be free of. He wants to move on with his life and get over the things that have happened but becoming free from your past is not an easy task. He’s been living in darkness for so long. But now that Ally is in his life, now that he’s finally connected to someone for the first time in years, he has some light in the darkness. Some hope. ?I loved the broken hero in this story, but I’m going to just take a moment and completely gush over this heroine. Ally Prince is someone special. She is strong, she is sweet, she is compassionate and she see’s beyond the exterior. She sees the person Elpi is within. She is able to make him see his worth when no one else in the world can. She is able to pull him out of this darkness for a while. She made my heart happy. I love this heroine so much. She is the absolute best. Sweet Hope is a gorgeous romance, but it is so much more than that. It’s a story of healing. Of guilt, forgiveness, moving forward and acceptance. It’s a story of hope. This is a story that touched my heart. It’s been days since I’ve read and I can’t get it off my mind. I can’t wait for everyone else to read and really ‘meet’ Ally and Elpi. Yes, you see them in the other 3 books, but you don’t really know either of them. How beautiful their hearts are and the people they really are. Sweet Hope is not a standalone. You should (at least) read Sweet Fall before you read this. If not the entire series. Trust me, they are worth while reads. This is a series that is just fantastic. I love all the books so much. I loved reading this and seeing all my favorite characters from the previous books. It made me so happy to see them all together and thriving. I feel like I’m writing my own little book here so I’ll wrap it up. If you haven’t read this series read it! And as soon as you do READ THIS BOOK! Tillie Cole has the ability to turn me into a sobbing, emotional mess with just a few sentences. I have adored every book in the Sweet Home series and become deeply invested in each of the characters. Austin and Lexi’s story in Sweet Fall, which must be read before Sweet Hope, broke my heart, so I was steeling myself for what was to come with Ally’s book. I knew I would cry, but I had absolutely no idea how this story would move me. Ally and Elpidio’s journey was an amazingly beautiful, gut-wrenching, and touching experience that blew me away. Sweet Hope brings Ally to Seattle to curate an exhibition for the elusive sculptor Elpidio. While she is excited for this new career opportunity and to be closer to her friends, she is lonely. Ally never expects the connection she feels when she meets the secretive and tortured sculptor. Elpidio is a broken soul who expresses his deep pain and sorrow through his art. He doesn’t believe he is worthy of even an ounce of happiness, but he can’t deny the relief and comfort that comes with Ally’s true understanding of him and his work. Ally was hands down my favorite heroine of this series. I was in awe of her passion for her job and the way she internalized the beauty and depth of every piece of art. Elpidio’s work came to life for me through her eyes. Just like with her career, Ally gave her entire heart and soul to Elpidio once she found herself falling for him. Her compassion and belief in him were inspiring. She was truly the light to his dark, and she never once wavered in her love and support of him. Ally was strong, loyal, and above all else had the courage to follow her heart. I have quite possibly never come across a hero as tortured as Elpidio. He was a man tormented by his sorrow. The way he took his pain and harnessed it into his sculptures was both devastating and powerful. Haunted by the demons of his past and what his actions had done to his family, Elpidio felt he deserved nothing good, especially not the love of a woman like Ally. She understood him in a way no one else did, though, and her acceptance of him soothed his soul. He clearly worshipped her, and their passionate bond ran deep despite Elpidio’s lack of self-worth. Elpidio’s true identity was purposefully left a mystery for the reader to discover, and I have to say that I loved that aspect. I found myself eagerly awaiting the reveal and when it came I couldn’t wait to see how his story would unfold. The emotions in this story radiated off the pages. Elpidio’s grief was heart-breaking. While I had a deep respect for how he took full responsibility for his actions, the truth was that he did everything for those he loved. He was drowning in so much self-loathing that I found myself wanting to curl up in a ball and cry for him. I loved watching how vulnerable Elpidio was with Ally and his family. Despite the mistakes of his past, I never once doubted that he was a good man who deserved happiness and a future. The way Ally loved him and fought for him in the face of all obstacles was beautiful. She believed in him when he couldn’t. Ally gave Elpidio hope when he had none. I don’t think I could have possibly loved her more than I did. It was immensely gratifying to watch Elpidio leave the shadows of his tragic past and attempt to forge a new life. Sweet Hope stole my heart, plain and simple. Ally and Elpidio’s story was tumultuous and difficult to read at times, but it was truly an incredible tale of hope, love, and forgiveness. It was wonderful to spend time with the rest of the characters in this series and see them living their happily ever afters. I am sad to see this series come to an end, but Tillie Cole did a phenomenal job of wrapping it up in a powerful and moving way. Her books, full of gorgeous and heartfelt writing, come with my highest recommendation. Sweet Hope is most certainly no exception.

I just....her words are utter perfection! They are good and dark and hurt and light and pain and sorrow and love all mixed into one. A book has never made me feel more complete. I don't know how I ever lived without these words and this story! Without these characters and their love. This book, this book is everything! It's good and bad and love and hate and light and dark. It's all Tillie is and more. It's all she is as an author and a person rolled into this one book! It is so so bittersweet to read these last words of the Sweet Home Series. I truly never wanted this series to end. These characters are an extension of my life, my heart, my soul. My heart both hurts and feels lighter. Ally and Elpi are perfection in words. I hurt, broke, cried, and got angry. The guilt Elpi carried, the shame, shattered my entire being. The injustice of how people looked upon him made me so angry. But darn it he is good. He's so good. I love him. I truly love him. I laughed, loved, and healed. The love between Ally and Elpi is so fierce and deep, eternal and finite, that my heart melted to a puddle. Ally is so sweet, as is Elpi in his own way. He's gruff and gritty, but his heart is pure and good. Together they are passion and fire and love and light. They are everything. They are lightning and heat. Ally I just wanted to wrap her up and hug her. Tell her that love was around the corner. That her deep soul and fiery love would soon be needed. I could talk about Elpi all day. He is true perfection. He is art! I truly feel complete and whole. Sweet Hope has brought me healing and hope. Elpi and Ally are lightning. They are fierce and passionate and fire. Their chemistry and connection lifted off the pages. The passion, it lit up my kindle like no other! I was wrecked and shattered. I hurt and was pained. I got angry and cried. But I was healed and whole and loved and laughed and feel so warm and light inside. I wish I could be more coherent and more expressive with my words. But I am speechless! I really don't know how to adequately explain this book, these words, how I felt, how in love I am with Elpi, how I want to be Ally's best friend. All of it. This book came full circle for me. But I really don't want it to end. It's so bittersweet. This is a must read for Tillie Cole. Everyone needs to read Sweet Hope. Take your time, let it consume you.
