Qualifications and requirements: Ph.D. in Political Science, Public Policy, Sociology or Anthropology The candidate would also have appropriate and robust teaching experience at the college level and excellent written and oral communication Tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor level requires an appropriate terminal degree Tenure track appointment at higher levels requires a doctorate and significant teaching experience at the post-secondary level Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty and administrators Preferred qualifications: Ability to teach one or more electives within the department Familiarity with unique mission of Massachusetts Maritime Academy Desirable Assets: Tutoring experience Experience with assessment of student learning Varsity athletic coaching experience at the college level Salary: Commensurate with experience and subject to the MSCA collective bargaining agreement plan.
