The Youth Employment Network (YEN) is a partnership of the United Nations, the International Labour Organization and the World Bank, set up after the Millennium Summit in 2001 to find new and durable solutions to the youth employment challenge. Our website, the YEN Marketplace (yenmarketplace.org) is an online community where youth employment stakeholders can come to find or exchange ideas, resources, and partnership. One of these services is a free E-Coaching programme for young entrepreneurs. The programme aims to:   

Provide entrepreneurs with direct access to business expertise Facilitate knowledge sharing between entrepreneurs Provide substantial personal support to entrepreneurs to supplement their institutional and financial resources

GET A MENTOR YEN is looking for young entrepreneurs interested and motivated to learn from an e-coach with significant education and experience. The YEN Marketplace E-Coaching programme matches experienced mentors to young entrepreneurs. E-coaches provide business support and advice to young entrepreneurs and accompany them through the process of setting up their business and finding solutions to specific business challenges. Participating entrepreneurs benefit from the mentor’s advice, knowledge and expertise in a specific industry. Mentors receive training before they start and the Marketplace provides an online platform for communication and networking. Interested entrepreneurs must first register as a member on the Marketplace and can then “request a coach" at yenmarketplace.org/e-coaching. You will be asked to fill out an application form explaining your motivation and business idea. This will help us to match your interests, knowledge and experiences to a mentor who can truly benefit you. YEN will propose a match between you and a mentor. If both of you accept, you and your mentor can start your relationship, either using the Marketplace communication tools or through your personal communication channels. Forum for Entrepreneurs: Seek advice from other entrepreneurs on marketing, management, finance, import and export, etc. by engaging in the forum for entrepreneurs. Working groups: Improve your organization’s communication and planning tools by using the task manager, calendar, documents and blog in your own working group.
